1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert,
1 Y JESUS, lleno del Espíritu Santo, volvió del Jordán, y fué llevado por el Espíritu al desierto

2 Chaypeqa tawa chunka p'unchayninman Kuraj Supayqa Jesusta juchaman urmachiyta munarqa. Chay tawa chunka p'unchaypi mana imata mikhusqanraykutaj Jesusqa yarqhachikorqa.

2 where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
2 Por cuarenta días, y era tentado del diablo. Y no comió cosa en aquellos días: los cuales pasados, tuvo hambre.

3 Chantá Kuraj Supayqa nerqa Jesusta: Sichus Diospa Churin kanki chayqa, niy kay rumeqa t'antaman tukunanta, nispa.

3 The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
3 Entonces el diablo le dijo: Si eres Hijo de Dios, di á esta piedra que se haga pan.

4 Jesustajrí kuticherqa: Diosmanta Qhelqasqapi nin: Mana t'antallawanchu runaqa kausanqa, nispa.

4 Jesus answered, "It is written: `Man does not live on bread alone.' "
4 Y Jesús respondiéndole, dijo: Escrito está: Que no con pan solo vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra de Dios.

5-6 Chantá Kuraj Supayqa orqo pataman Jesusta pusaspa, uj ñawi ch'irmiypi rikucherqa tukuy kay pachapi reinosta, nerqataj: Kay tukuy atiyta qosqayki, tukuy kapuynintawan, imaraykuchus noqaman qosqa karqa; chayrayku pimanchus munani, chayman qoyta atini.

5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
6 And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
5 Y le llevó el diablo á un alto monte, y le mostró en un momento de tiempo todos los reinos de la tierra. 6 Y le dijo el diablo: A ti te daré toda esta potestad, y la gloria de ellos; porque á mí es entregada, y á quien quiero la doy:

7 Sichus ñaupaqeypi qonqoriykukuspa, yupaychawanki chayqa, kay tukuynin qampata kanqa, nispa.

7 So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
7 Pues si tú adorares delante de mí, serán todos tuyos.

8 Jesustajrí kuticherqa: Diosmanta Qhelqasqapi nin: Señor Diosniykita yupaychanki, pay sapallantataj sirvinki, nispa.

8 Jesus answered, "It is written: `Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.' "
8 Y respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Vete de mí, Satanás, porque escrito está: A tu Señor Dios adorarás, y á él solo servirás.

9 Chaymanta Kuraj Supayqa Jerusalén llajtaman Jesusta pusarqa, Templo patapi sayaykuchispataj, nerqa: Diospa Churinchus kanki chayqa, wijch'uykukuy pampaman

9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here.
9 Y le llevó á Jerusalem, y púsole sobre las almenas del templo, y le dijo: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate de aquí abajo:

10 Diosmanta Qhelqasqapi nin: Angelesninta kachamonqa waqaychasunankupaj, nispa.

10 For it is written: "`He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;
10 Porque escrito está: Que á sus ángeles mandará de ti, que te guarden;

11 Chantá nillantaj: Makisninkupi jap'isonqanku, ama chakiykita rumipi takakunaykipaj, nispa.

11 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
11 Y En las manos te llevarán, Porque no dañes tu pie en piedra.

12 Jesustajrí kuticherqa: Diosmanta Qhelqasqapi nillataj: Señor Diosniykita ama pruebata ruwankichu, nispa.

12 Jesus answered, "It says: `Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
12 Y respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Dicho está: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.

13 Chantá Kuraj Supayqa Jesusta tentayta tukuytawan, pachampi saqespa, pisi tiempota chinkarerqa.

13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
13 Y acabada toda tentación, el diablo se fué de él por un tiempo.

14 Jesús kuterqa Galileaman, Espíritu Santoj atiynintaj paypi karqa. Tukuynejpi payllamanta parlasharqanku.

14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.
14 Y Jesús volvió en virtud del Espíritu á Galilea, y salió la fama de él por toda la tierra de alrededor,

15 Payqa yachachisharqa sinagogaspi, tukuytaj Jesusta mayta jatunchaj kanku.

15 He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.
15 Y enseñaba en las sinagogas de ellos, y era glorificado de todos.

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.
16 Y vino á Nazaret, donde había sido criado; y entró, conforme á su costumbre, el día del sábado en la sinagoga, y se levantó á leer.

17 Chaypaj payman jaywarqanku profeta Isaiaspa libronta, kicharispataj, pay tarerqa kay jina qhelqasqata:

17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
17 Y fuéle dado el libro del profeta Isaías; y como abrió el libro, halló el lugar donde estaba escrito:

18-19 Señorpa Espíritun noqapi kashan; jawiwaspa ajllawarqa sumaj willanasta wajchasman willanaypaj; kachamuwarqataj willajta presos kacharisqa kanankupaj, ciegos qhawarinankupaj, ñak'arejkunataj samarichisqa kanankupaj, Señorpa allin watanmantapis willanaypaj, nispa.

18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
18 El Espíritu del Señor es sobre mí, Por cuanto me ha ungido para dar buenas nuevas á los pobres: Me ha enviado para sanar á los quebrantados de corazón; Para pregonar á los cautivos libertad, Y á los ciegos vista; Para poner en libertad á los quebrantados:
19 Para predicar el año agradable del Señor.

20 Chantá Jesusqa librota wisq'aspa, waqaychajman jaywaytawan, tiyaykorqa. Tukuy chay sinagogapi kajkunataj payta qhawasharqanku.

20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him,
20 Y rollando el libro, lo dió al ministro, y sentóse: y los ojos de todos en la sinagoga estaban fijos en él.

21 Parlayta qallarispataj, paykunaman nerqa: Qhelqasqapi Diospa nisqan kunan p'unchaypi junt'akushan, kay uyariwasqaykichejman jina, nispa.

21 and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
21 Y comenzó á decirles: Hoy se ha cumplido esta Escritura en vuestros oídos.

22 Ancha allimpuni Jesusqa tukuyninkuman rijch'arqa, chay jinata parlasqanmantataj t'ukuspa, tapunakorqanku: Manachu kayqa Josejpa churin? nispa.

22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked.
22 Y todos le daban testimonio, y estaban maravillados de las palabras de gracia que salían de su boca, y decían: ¿No es éste el hijo de José?

23 Chantá Jesús nerqa: Niwankichejchari kay nisqata: Médico, qan kikiykita jampikuy. Astawanqa, Capernaumpi chay ruwasqasniykita uyarisqaykuta kay llajtaykipipis ruwallaytaj ari, nispa.

23 Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: `Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.'"
23 Y les dijo: Sin duda me diréis este refrán: Médico, cúrate á ti mismo: de tantas cosas que hemos oído haber sido hechas en Capernaum, haz también aquí en tu tierra.

24 Nillarqataj: Cheqatapuni niykichej: Mana mayqen profetapis allimpaj qhawasqachu kikin llajtampeqa.

24 "I tell you the truth," he continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
24 Y dijo: De cierto os digo, que ningún profeta es acepto en su tierra.

25 Cheqatapuni nillaykichejtaj: Ashkha viudas karqanku Israel naciompi Eliaspa tiempompi; chaypachaqa kinsa wata sojta killayojta mana pararqachu, chaynejtataj anchapuni yarqhay karqa tukuynejpi.

25 I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land.
25 Mas en verdad os digo, que muchas viudas había en Israel en los días de Elías, cuando el cielo fué cerrado por tres años y seis meses, que hubo una grande hambre en toda la tierra;

26 Diostajrí Eliastaqa mana ni mayqen israelita viudamanchu kacharqa, manachayqa Sidonpi kaj Sarepta llajtapi tiyakoj viudallaman.

26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon.
26 Pero á ninguna de ellas fué enviado Elías, sino á Sarepta de Sidón, á una mujer viuda.

27 Jinallataj Israelpeqa profeta Eliseoj tiempompi karqanku leprawan ashkha onqosqas; chaywampis mana ni mayqen llimphuchasqachu karqa, manachayqa Siriamanta Naamanlla, nispa nerqa Jesusqa.

27 And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian."
27 Y muchos leprosos había en Israel en tiempo del profeta Eliseo; mas ninguno de ellos fué limpio, sino Naamán el Siro.

28 Chay tukuy imasta uyarispa, sinagogapi tukuy kajkuna phiñarikorqanku.

28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.
28 Entonces todos en la sinagoga fueron llenos de ira, oyendo estas cosas;

29 Sayarispataj, llajtamanta Jesusta qharqorqanku, pusarqankutaj orqo pataman, maypichus llajtanku karqa chaynejman, qaqaman tanqaykunankupaj.

29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff.
29 Y levantándose, le echaron fuera de la ciudad, y le llevaron hasta la cumbre del monte sobre el cual la ciudad de ellos estaba edificada, para despeñarle.

30 Jesustajrí paykunaj chaupinkuta llojsispa, riporqa.

30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
30 Mas él, pasando por medio de ellos, se fué.

31 Chaymanta Jesusqa rerqa Galileapi Capernaum llajtaman. Chaypitaj runasman yachacherqa samarikuna p'unchaypi.

31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people.
31 Y descendió á Capernaum, ciudad de Galilea. Y los enseñaba en los sábados.

32 Runasqa mayta t'ukorqanku yachachisqanmanta, imaraykuchus parlasqanqa atiyniyoj karqa.

32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority.
32 Y se maravillaban de su doctrina, porque su palabra era con potestad.

33-34 Chaypacha sinagogapi millay supayniyoj uj runa sinch'ita qhaparispa, nerqa: Saqewayku ari. Ima nispa noqaykuwan jap'inakoj jamunki, Nazaretmanta Jesús? Noqaykuta tukuchejchu jamunki? Noqa yachani pichus kasqaykita: Qanqa Diospa santo kaj ajllakusqan kanki, nispa.

33 In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a demon, an evil spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice,
34 "Ha! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"
33 Y estaba en la sinagoga un hombre que tenía un espíritu de un demonio inmundo, el cual exclamó á gran voz,
34 Diciendo: Déjanos, ¿qué tenemos contigo Jesús Nazareno? ¿has venido á destruirnos? Yo te conozco quién eres, el Santo de Dios.

35 Chantá Jesusqa chay supayta sinch'ita k'amerqa: Ch'in kay, llojsiy chay runamanta, nispa. Chay supaytaj paykunaj ñaupaqenkupi runata urmachispa, llojsiytawan riporqa, mana astawan imanaspa.

35 "Be quiet!" Jesus said sternly. "Come out of him!" Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without injuring him.
35 Y Jesús le increpó, diciendo: Enmudece, y sal de él. Entonces el demonio, derribándole en medio, salió de él, y no le hizo daño alguno.

36 T'ukuspataj, tukuyninku parlanakorqanku: Imataj kayri? Kay runaqa atiywan, kallpawantaj supaykunatapis qharqon, kasunkutaj, nispa.

36 All the people were amazed and said to each other, "What is this teaching? With authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out!"
36 Y hubo espanto en todos, y hablaban unos á otros, diciendo: ¿Qué palabra es ésta, que con autoridad y potencia manda á los espíritus inmundos, y salen?

37 Chayrayku Jesusqa may mentasqa karqa tukuy chaynejpi.

37 And the news about him spread throughout the surrounding area.
37 Y la fama de él se divulgaba de todas partes por todos los lugares de la comarca.

38 Sinagogamanta llojsimuspa, Jesusqa yaykorqa Simonpa wasinman. Chaypacha Simonpa suegran sinch'i k'aja onqoywan kasharqa. Chaypi kajkunataj Jesusta mañakorqanku payta sanoyachinampaj.

38 Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her.
38 Y levantándose Jesús de la sinagoga, entró en casa de Simón: y la suegra de Simón estaba con una grande fiebre; y le rogaron por ella.

39 Chantá Pedroj suegranman qayllaykuspa, Jesusqa k'amerqa k'aja onqoyninta, paytaj sanoyaporqa. Chay ratopacha jatarimuytawan, paykunaman sirverqa.

39 So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.
39 E inclinándose hacia ella, riñó á la fiebre; y la fiebre la dejó; y ella levantándose luego, les servía.

40 When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
40 Y poniéndose el sol, todos los que tenían enfermos de diversas enfermedades, los traían á él; y él poniendo las manos sobre cada uno de ellos, los sanaba.

41 Jinallatataj supaykuna llojsirarqanku ashkha onqosqasmanta, qhaparerqankutaj: Qanqa Diospa Churin kanki, nispa. Paytajrí supaykunata k'amispa, ch'inyacherqa, imaraykuchus yacharqanku pay Cristo kasqanta.

41 Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.
41 Y salían también demonios de muchos, dando voces, y diciendo: Tú eres el Hijo de Dios. Mas riñéndolos no les dejaba hablar; porque sabían que él era el Cristo.

42 Sut'iyayta llajtamanta llojsispa, Jesusqa rerqa ch'innejman. Runastaj tarinankukama payta mask'arqanku jark'ayta munaspa ama ripunampaj.

42 At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them.
42 Y siendo ya de día salió, y se fué á un lugar desierto: y las gentes le buscaban, y vinieron hasta él; y le detenían para que no se apartase de ellos.

43 paytajrí nerqa: Wajkunamampis Diospa reinonmanta evangeliota willamunallaytaj tiyan, imaraykuchus chaypaj kachamusqa kani, nispa.

43 But he said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent."
43 Mas él les dijo: Que también á otras ciudades es necesario que anuncie el evangelio del reino de Dios; porque para esto soy enviado.

44 Ajinata Jesusqa Judea sinagogaspi willaraj.

44 And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
44 Y predicaba en las sinagogas de Galilea.
